Two products being described as worm treatments does not make them substitutes. Identify the suspected parasite group and check the actual formulation, system and livestock before choosing a product.

What the manufacturers describe
eSHa describes ndx as a levamisole-based nematode treatment. Hikari describes PraziPro, a praziquantel product, for flukes, tapeworms, flatworms and turbellarians. Do not identify the cause solely from weight loss, rubbing or faecal appearance.
Can they be used together?
Do not use this page’s former “technically yes” advice. Hikari instructs users not to use PraziPro with other drugs or disease treatments. eSHa likewise does not recommend other eSHa treatments alongside ndx and requires explicit manufacturer approval for combinations with other brands.
There is no universal one-week switching interval established here. If changing treatments, check what has already been added, the removal instructions and the next medicine’s requirements. Ask the manufacturers to resolve a conflict before combining or overlapping courses.
Cleanup is part of the product’s directions
eSHa’s ndx guidance includes siphoning, filter cleaning and a specified water-change or carbon alternative after 24 hours. PraziPro has its own water-change, filtration, UV and skimmer directions. Preserve ordinary biological filtration as instructed; do not treat all filter components as interchangeable.
A deteriorating fish should not be dismissed as experiencing “normal” treatment lethargy. Record the change and reassess the water, dose, equipment and treatment choice promptly with appropriate help.
Similar ingredients do not give identical doses
gdex is another product with overlapping target groups, but its drop conversion and schedule differ from PraziPro. Use the exact bottle instructions; never exchange the quantities between brands.
