PraziPro amount and treatment duration
Liquid PraziPro’s reference is 5 mL per 20 US gallons of actual treatment water. A treatment may last five to seven days; that does not mean adding the amount every day.

Amount, duration and repeats are different
- Amount. Based on actual treatment-system water, not nominal tank size.
- Duration. The five-to-seven-day period is not a daily-dose schedule.
- Repeat decision. A minimum three-day spacing does not automatically select another application.
Preparation and compatibility
- Hikari specifies new water or a practical change of at least 30% before starting or restarting.
- Shake vigorously. Keep ordinary filtration running, remove carbon and stop UV and protein skimming.
- Do not combine with other drugs or disease treatments. Hikari warns against sulfur/sulfinite-based conditioners; check ingredients with the manufacturer when uncertain.
- Hikari highlights certain marine flatworms and delicate worm-type invertebrates. It suggests added aeration for heavily stocked or coral-rich systems. Read the full livestock precautions; this is not a blanket community-tank safety guarantee.
Do not turn a minimum interval into a prescription
Hikari says repeat applications must be at least three days apart. That minimum does not mean every fish needs a three-day repeat, or an automatic second course.
Separate the calculation from the decision
- Record the actual treatment-system water volume and units.
- Read the exact bottle instructions and resolve compatibility before use.
- Record the time and amount actually added, not just the amount displayed.
- Log changes in the aquarium and the fish's response. Reassess an uncertain diagnosis with appropriate fish-health support.
Rapid breathing, weight loss or a photograph alone does not provide enough evidence for this website to identify the cause or select a repeat course. No recovery deadline or guarantee is offered here.
Common PraziPro questions
Do I add it every day for five to seven days?
No. The treatment duration is not an instruction for daily additions. Keep the applicable manufacturer course and repeat conditions separate.
Can I use it with another medication?
Hikari excludes other drugs and disease treatments during use. Check conditioner ingredients and the other product’s restrictions too.
Does this prove it is suitable for my shrimp or snails?
