Why are there non-dose days in the alx plan?
The standard 21-day plan separates additions on days one and fourteen from cleanup on days seven and twenty-one. The source rate is one drop per 7 L, not a rounded 15-per-100 L recipe.
Worked examples
These illustrations use 100 L of measured water, without a decor deduction. Choose the matching stage or formulation above for your own water volume. They do not select a treatment or establish livestock suitability.
Standard 21-day plan
| Stage | Amount or action for 100 L |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | 15 drops (or 0.5 mL) |
| Day 7 | Change 20–50% of the water and clean the aquarium bottom; no dose. |
| Day 14 | 15 drops (or 0.5 mL) |
| Day 21 | Change 20–50% of the water and clean the aquarium bottom; no dose. |
Drops are rounded under this product’s measurement policy; mL uses the unrounded source amount. Choose one measuring method—do not add both. A drop size from another bottle is not interchangeable.
Example only. Your calculation above uses your own inputs. Small amounts and powder fractions still need equipment that can measure them reliably.
Before you measure
eSHa says alx will kill shrimp and crayfish. Follow removal/quarantine and other invertebrate precautions before treatment.
Product-specific checks from the calculation record
- Will kill shrimp and crayfish. Remove invertebrates as instructed; marine fish use is in a quarantine system.
- The drop rate is one per 7 L, rounded UP like eSHa’s calculator; it is not an already-rounded 15-per-100 L rate. The independent mL equivalent is 0.005 mL per litre.
Why can the drops and mL look different after rounding?
Drops are rounded upward under the existing policy; the alternative mL amount uses the unrounded source calculation. They are alternatives, not two quantities to add together.
