New tap water or the whole system?
Choose separately prepared new water for conditioning. The nitrogen-compound mode uses total system water. Both normal modes scale 5 mL per 50 US gallons.

These illustrations use 100 L of measured water, without a decor deduction. Choose the matching stage or formulation above for your own water volume. They do not select a treatment or establish livestock suitability.

Before you measure
Maintain water flow and aeration; avoid unnecessary repeated additions. Fritz specifically says Complete is incompatible with Ich-X, despite broader compatibility wording elsewhere on its page.
Product-specific checks from the calculation record
- Maintain circulation/aeration. Larger doses can reduce dissolved oxygen; high-dose adjustments are not automatically selected.
- Fritz lists Complete as incompatible with Ich-X because it is sulfoxylate based. Check medication and water-conditioner compatibility before use.
Can I use the normal result as an emergency prescription?
No. It is the standard reference amount. It does not choose a response to an ammonia reading or select a high-dose regimen.
