Why use Ich-X?
Ich-X is a powerful combination of Malachite Green and Formalin that is highly effective against protozoan parasites. Unlike many other treatments, it is relatively safe for most invertebrates and plants when used as directed.
Treatment Protocol
Perform a 1/3 water change before each dose. Dose every 24 hours until the parasites are gone, and continue for at least 3 days after the last visible sign of infection to ensure the life cycle is broken.
Safety Tips
- Remove activated carbon and stop UV/Skimmer during treatment.
- Increase aeration (add an air stone) as medications can reduce dissolved oxygen.
- May stain silicone and decorations blue.
